What is the difference in brands. Why should I spend more money on a good brand amp when I can spend less on a lesser brand? What is the difference? |

I have heard people say they had Pyramid amps and they sounded great and lasted a long time. People on here say not to get Pyramid. Would it sound horrible? Please explain all the bad things about Pyramid, like the Pyramid Crystal amps found here:

dude, read up. it's up to you. personally, i believe you get what you pay for, especially in car audio. just my opinion. keep in mind those specs on pyramid amps are max power ratings, not RMS. |

Yea, I noticed that too. Why do some brands not post RMS power. Its stupid if u ask me. |

Most name brand amps are better made and you get what you pay for. Pyramid amps are not good most of them sound bad if the head unit volume is over 1/2 way. Some brands do not post RMS power because they are real watts. It looks better to see 1200 watts on the amp, so you buy it. Then it’s only 400 watts RMS if that. I think and this is just me from looking around that MTX amps offer the most true watts for the $$. |

MTX makes really good amps. best "bang for the buck" in my opinion too.
