Thread: My amp keeps blowing fuses |

like the title, it keeps blowing fuses. all im trying to do is hook up my speakers to a 100 watt pioneeer amp (uses 15 amp fuse) and everytime i hook up the wire to the battery, the fuse busts. i have all the right cables and a 100 watt fuse by the battery |

u have a short somewhere, fuse in the power line or in the amp? |

the fuse in the amp. it does the same to my other amp which has a 20 amp fuse on it. |

if it happens with your other amp also you have power going to ground somewhere in your electrics. |

You have a short somewhere in your electrical system it could be anywhere in your car. To fix it you need to find it. Try looking for dodgy looking wires. Tape off all wires that have been cut. |
