I just got this HU and i´m very satissfied with its sound, but my friend(he´s got one too)doesn´t really like the way it sounds now,so he´s thinking of getting external EQ,which i don´t think will solve anything. The question is:Is it worth the money buy a new one,if he has one built-in already? Are those(in 9835´s) internal EQ´s any good,or they are just there to have more features. I´m new to these EQ´s,so correct me,if i´m wrong. Thank you for your input.

the one in there is fine.. it may sound liek crap cause he doesnt know how to work it properly .. it does get confusing.. and an external one will be even moreso.. so unless hes building an ultimate SQ car you dont need all those miniscule fine tuning functions. just tell him to playa round with it or have someone set it up for him
