I am trying to find an amp to run 2 Boston Accoustics GS1000 10" subs. On their site, they spec out the subs capable of handling 50 - 400W @ 2ohms. Any suggestions for an amp?

you can wire two 2ohm subs to a total load of either 4ohms or 1ohms, so for amps, look for a two-channel that does 800watts bridged @4ohms or a monoblock amp that is 1ohm stable and puts out 800watts @ 1ohm.
you can also look at an Orion HCCA amp - the HCCA 250 is a two-channel amp that is stable down to 1ohm when bridged -puts out 800watts.

older orion or ppi amps are good. zapco, xtant, arc, us amps, diamond, eclipse, MMATS are a few good brands. MTX and JBL are well built for the price.

if you have two single voice coil subs that are 2ohms each, you can wire them in series to get a 4ohm total load on the amp.

look on page 8 of your sub's manual and it will show you exactly how to wire it. you can download it here if you don't have it anymore. it's the
"ProSeries, Competitor, Generator Subwoofers" link.
