i just bought a mtx thunder801D amp for 200 shipped, with a warrenty. Im so excited to get this hooked up to my 2 12" alpine r's. Does anyone have a idea how to wire the subs to the amp so that subs will be 2 ohms at one channel?

depends if they are the dual 2 ohm or dual 4 ohms models.
Dual 4's can be only wired to 1,4 or 8 ohms.
dual 2's can be wired parallel to 1 ohm each, then series wired to 2 ohm, or series wired to 4 ohms each and dropped to 2 ohm parallel. |

they are dual 2 ohms. So i should wire them to one ohm each, and then two the amp at 2 ohms. |
