Where should i set the gain at in my amp It Is a Way old school Precision audio amp I am running a 300 watt sub It starts at 1 volt all the way to 900mv or some letters like that.can you help me please my head unit is 2 volts should i set it at almost getting to half way.

If your amp's minimum is 1v, then set it there. It's always better to start at minimum and gradually increase it till you hear distortion, then cut back.
Only use this method if there is no marking on the amp or you don't have any info on it.
Incorrectly set gain/level will induce clipping/distortion. This will cause amp and sub failure.
