Orion 2500d 4ohm at 1200w RMS 2ohm at 1700w RMS 1ohm at 2500w RMS Four MTX T81044 subs (soon to be six) are DVC 10” 4ohm (400w RMS/800w peak) Will the subs sound better wired straight to 4ohm or parallel to 2ohm or both down to 1ohm

You'll get best SQ/response at 4ohms. If you had to push it, I'd stick with 2ohms. At 1ohm, you'll be pushing the amp to it's limit. Usually that's when it gets hot and start eating up current. How are you going to get 6 DVC 4ohms down to 1ohm? It isn't possible mathematically.

wire each sub into series and then parallel them to the amp presents 1.3 ohm load. Thanks for the reply. Now to build a better box. |
