since the other forums are down, i'll ask this here. Can i hook up speakers around 200 watt rms to my deck without using an amp?

If you are talking about speakers then yes. But Subs need more watts than a head unit can put out. It would work but they will not sound good also in order to hear them you will need to turn the head unit up so high it will send a clipped signal to the subs and mess them up.

what specs would i look for in an amp to power 200 watt rms speakers

what amp should i use on speakers about 200 w rms? I'll need amps for my speakers and subs so do they have to be the same or have similar specs? can i bridge speakers? any help is great.
