Okay, so the UPS guy just dropped this thing off, and I'm looking at it and wondering why it has outputs for 2 speakers (+ and - for both) when it's supposed to be a mono amp. |

That's there so you can connect 2 subs. It is a great amp. Just remember, you bought one of the amp series that's disappearing fast. PPI's current lines aren't worth buying. |

So, does it matter which set of outputs I use if I'm just hooking it to 1 sub? |

No but make sure your sub is not less than 2 ohms. |

Yes, becuase the left and right of the channel are wired in parallel and converted to a mono signal, so no matter what, you will always have half the ohm load when using 2 subs. That goes for any receiver/amplifier that runs an A and B OR EVEN a C output. |

Okay Isaac, I know, I've handled that already (1 DVC sub, 4 ohm coils in parallel). If I had wanted to just waste my money there's much better things I would've spent it on. |

huh? There's not really two separate sets of outputs on that amp. Each positive is common to the other positive. Likewise with the negatives. Just imagine two hunks of metal, one positive, one negative, with two places to attach a speaker wire. Attaching a speaker to each "output" is the same as attaching two speakers in parallel to one output. -Fishy |
