I just bought an 03 xterra with the component speaker system and was looking to upgrade the speakers. Crutchfield says that I can't put 6x9's in the cback but places like best buy and circuit city say that 6x9's will fit in the rear. does anyone know the truth?

If you don't have the system with the sub in it you can put 6x9's in the rear (if you have the sub you can only put (1) 6x9 in the rear.

You can put 6-1/2" comps in the door (I'm assuming the tweets are mounted in the pillars, right).

Do the system right and put better comps up front and get a sub for the rear and forget the 6x9's (did that to my wife's 01 xterra and it sounds great)
