I am considering getting a second JBL BP 600.1 amp for my system. It runs 600 watts RMS at 2ohms so I am wondering if the 4 gauge wiring (Monster Cable) I have from my battery to amp will be able to handle 1200 watts now? Also, what kind of capacitor may be necessary with this much power?

Yeah it should be enough, I am running 1500W RMS through 4 gage. I am not sure about the capacitator because I dont use one |

The rule of thumb for capacitor is 1F for every 1000w of power.
So in your case, 1.5F would do. |
