i have a kicker kx600.1 amp(birthsheet said 740w) pushing 1 new 12'' L7 in a 1 cu-ft sealed box. what should i set my gain, cross-over and bass boost at? it nevers gets distorted wen i turn the gain up(while hu vol. is at 3/4). so is "all the way up" ok for gain? and what exactly is cross-over? and how should i set it? thanks im new to car audio. thanks |

no you should never have your gain up past half way. if you have it up past half, it sends DC voltage to your subs and causes clipping. |

bass boost is an increased bass signal for greater low-frequency sound, and a crossover is a device that divides the ranges of frequencies, it should be set on low for bass, and higher for playing music. |
