just curious. which would run a set of 4ohm 100watt RMS comps better, the Orion 225G4 or the PPI Art series A300.2 ?? which would run a sub better at their appropriate ohms? i guess that can be subjective, but if you had both, which would you run your comps with and which for the sub?

that is a great ?. Both of those amps are incredible. I would give my choice for the components to the PPI and the subs your Orion. This is why, The PPI is only stable at 4ohms mono which unless you were planning on running it at 4ohms mono this amp would not work. I am currently running a PPI a600.2 for my sub now at 4ohms and I love it. I have also run 3-10's off of it at 4ohms and they slammed away, but for components that is where this amp will shine, both will but if you had to pick the Orion is 1ohm mono stable so that is your sub amp for sure. There is no doubt in my mind that you would have two of the best amps ever built in your system.
