Hey guys,

I had my heart set on getting the Class AB USA-1000 for my single Alpine SWX-1242 4ohm DVC sub; however, now the amp is not in stock at the audio shop, and will be a while before one comes in and at a more expensive price :-( I have kind of decided to settle with the DE-1000, even though the Class DE doens't have even close to the damping power of the Class AB.

Anyways, I do remember seeing a US Amps JL-1000 amplifier sitting on their shelf. It is rated at

500W per channel @ 1.5 ohms
1000W per bridged @ 3 ohms

Can I run this amp at 4 ohms bridged? I don't care if I don't get the full 1000W, but would I get 750-800W RMS?

Please let me know ASAP. My installation is in 8 hours!

Thanks!!!
Bryan
