I have a 97 JEEP Grand Cherokee with the Infinity Gold system. I am wanting to replace the factory head unit, and would be perfectly content using the stock infinity amp. I am looking at buying a HU from crutchfield. The website says it provides all adapters/harnesses for installing the new HU and also makes a distinction between grand cherokees with and without the infinity gold. Does anybody know if this is true?

Glass told me I will need the PAC OEM-1, which as far as I can tell simply takes the new HU's high level output and converts it to a line level for the infinity amp to re-amplify.

Has anybody done what I am wanting to do?? if so, what exactly did you do and is it an easy task. thanks

i have a jeep like that. and i just had a stereo place install it.
