I have 2 12 in subs. They are 4 ohm dvc. Is there anyway to wire them to 8 ohms, so I could hook them up to my reciever in my house? Or is it a bad idea to hook them up inside?

connect them in series that will make the ohms additive and increase the resistance to 8 ohms

I have the same question but the other way around. I have speakers with 2 pairs of inputs - 1 hi and 1 low. Each are listed as 6 ohm. My amp is listed as 4 to 16 ohm.

How and WHY should I wire up these speakers? Series, paraelle, or use some kind of resistor where?
Thanks for any ideas.
