I am new to this, but I just insatlled a 250 watt 2 channel amp with 1 1000 watt 10" speaker, and I was wondering if you could use both channels for the one speaker to get max power?

you might be able to. check and see if the amp is bridgable. if it is, then you problly take the positive form channel 1 and the negative from channel 2 and hook that up to the speaker. ya
