I'm new to car audio, but i'll explain what i got. I have two Adrenalin subs in a bandpass that are rated 700 watts max power (now does this mean the speakers can hold up to 700 watts or is it a peak rating) so in my case i just assumed that it was a peak rating, which basically means that each sub gets like 175 watts per speaker. so i purchased a SoundStorm 1000 watt 2 channel amp, with 200 watts per channel. did i do good or are SoundStorm amps not worth anything. any help would be appreciated! |

Soundstorm are awful amplifiers. Audiobahn isn't too great either, but Audiobahn is still a lot better than soundstorm for sure. Soundstorm is a flea-market level company who fools customers into buying products made poorly, due to the similarity in their name to the more reputable Soundstream. If each sub is 4 Ohms, I'd suggest you look at the JBL BP600.1 amplifier if you're on a tight budget. It's ~$200 US and it will supply a solid 300wRMS to each of the two subs. You'll hear a world of difference.
