hey i just bought a boss audio riot 4ch 1600 amp and 2 12" mtx t5500 and my amp says 150x4 rms so i figured 300x2 rms if i briged it to two subs and 500x2 peak i figured but the amp says 800x2 peak briged and that is wow there is no way i tryed to do the math its not a cheap amp its expensive and i was just wondering if it would power my 2 12" mtx t550 300rms 600 peak! plz help me? |

OK 800x2 peak is like 400 x2 RMS on a good amp. I would say that you wouldn not be getting any more then 300 rms when bridged. It should be fine with those subs. now if you had a US amps or Arc Audio,Tru Tech,Orion HCCA,PPI Art series,JL,Eclipse. I would say no you are going to blow your subs up but with that amp it should be fine. |

alright thanks just wanted to make sure i heard that boss is over rated on peak power so just wanted to make sure thanks that is wat i thought it would be too
