I'm looking for a high-end head unit w/ CD/MP-3, but no neon, no flashy colors, etc. just a black unit, 2 color display, simple controls. any ideas? |

Nakamichi CD-400 and CD-7700 are the best bets for non-flashy and elegant. It's a beautiful head unit. |

Jonathan just kind of a follow up on your 2005 eclipse hu looks bashing post  i checked them out at the store and they look a lot like the 04 models just slightly different in terms of lighting behind the buttons...they dont look like old kenwoods like you had feared

Hey Jonathan I was just at a local store and I was messing around with the Nakamichi cd-400 and I think its a really nice unit. It has a nice factory look to it with all the good functions. |

They're beautiful head units. They don't have the most features out there, but really if you're into high end SQ you'll be using 1/3 octave EQs and external crossovers to handle the processing anyway. |
