*sighs* I just had an argument with my dad about whether or not it is optimal to connect your ground wire from your amp to the black on the battery, or to the frame of the truck. I say it's better to connect it to the frame, he says it's 100% the same? I'm pretty damn sure that I'm right, but I figured I'd check so that I could prove to him that he's wrong...stupid $%*& sucker...

I'd appreciate an answer from Glass or Jonathon, too.

Oh, you are definitely correct. although grounding it to the battery is like grounding it to the chassis simply because the battery itself is grounded to the chassis. However, it's optimal to keep the ground less than 3ft, and usually the battery is further away than 3ft, plus the length of the battery to the frame.
