hi guys,
i installed my own system, boss amp powering one MTX 12inch sub, but a couple of weeks ago i blew the fuse on the 12volt wire running from the battery to the amp (not sure why it blew), and when i replaced the fuse (30), and hooked my system up again i can't get it to work, the red protection light stays on instead of the green power light. the red light only comes on when i hook up the 'amp remote on' wire from the head unit, before i hook that up the green light is on no worries, i don't know what's wrong, it's driving me crazy!! |

Okay, you'll have to explain it better. What do you mean by "the red light only comes on when i hook up the 'amp remote on' wire from the head unit"? An amp can't power up without that wire getting some kind of power. So it's puzzling to hear that your amp has "green" light without that wire connected.
Unhook all wires going into the amp and see if it helps with protection.
