i have a jl audio 500/1 amp and i am planning to buy a 12w7 but i dont know if it will be loud enough for me.i previously owned a 15 KICKER L5 AND WAS HOPING THAT MY 500/1 AND 12W7 WILL BUMP HARDER THAN THE KICKER. ALSO,WILL THE 500/1 MATCH PERFECT FOR THE 12 W7.SO CAN ANYONE GIVE SOME GOOD INFORMATION ABOUT THAT PLEASE.THanks |

That 500/1 may not be enough for your 12w7. I don't think you would be too happy with the w7's performance it you powered it with only 500watts. The 12w7 is optimum around 700-800watts. At that range im sure you would be very pleased. |

The 500/1 matches the 12W7 very well, the 500/1 is very underrated. In a sealed box you'll typicaly reach close to full excursion with it. It should get louder than that L5 was, and sound a lot better doing it. |
