i just got 2 jbl bp600.1 amps and i wanna know how big of an alternator i'll need.....my stock one is 100A
I have a 98 chevy 1500 ext cab w/ a 4.3L V6

i can get a 140A for about $100, will it do, or do i need bigger????how big???

also an Alternator Shop near where i live said they could rebuild my stock alt. to make it about 200A ,but it'll cost about $150-165....should i do that???or get a NEW high-output one???

that rebuild offer is a good one.
200A would be plenty for you. two 600.1 amps will draw up to ~110A combined, at full output, so you'd do well to get that 200A. Even if it's a bit of overkill, it'll give you some room to play.. perhaps add a 4 channel amp for mids/highs later, too.. stuff like that.
