I have a 2003 Honda Civic. And i just bought a pioneer DEH-3700 MP CD player which im gonna run 2 12" MTX sledgehammers off of with a MTX 801 D Amp. I jus need to know how many watts my stock honda speakers can hold up to .

Most stock speakers dont take much more than 5 watts. That receiver puts out 22 watts rms. I would highly recommend replacing ur speakers. Otherwise you will end up like me and blow all of your speakers and I melted my ground wire too. Not Good. If u plan on cranking the volume get new speakers. Even if it is a small upgrade. I would recommend Infinity for a decent upgrade, They sound pretty good.
