I am looking for a good head unit to buy in the $150 price range. I have two amps, one for my front speakers and one for my subs. What specifics should i look for to accomodate this setup and what are some other major features i should look for in a head unit to help with sound quality. I was looking at Pioneer, JVC, Kenwood, or Sony, since these are the only brands i can get a dicount on from a local electronics store. Any help is appreciated. All I will be playing are CD's and CD-R's. |

If that ur brands to go from then I would pick Pioneer. Since you have two amps u want an HU w/ high preamp voltage. Sony's tend to be unreliable. JVC and Kenwood are pretty good too, but Alpine would probably be the best b/c even their low end HU's have at least 4 volt preamp outs. Pioneer DEH-3600 and 2600 I believe fall under that price range. |
