I know I should be posting this in the sub forum but you are over here and I was wondering. What 18 do you run. I remember a while ago you said something about liking 18's. I was thinking about trying the Avalanche 18 I have heard very good things about it and was wondring if you have any thing to add? I have always wanted an 18 but never got one so I think I might have to check it out. |

I have 18" sub in my car. It produces great low bass. The reason why I selected 18" over 12" was, I listen to variety of music, classical to dance and anything else in between. 18" subs will produce lower bass then 12". There's a theory that 12" will produce faster bass, but nowdays, with newer technology, 18" will behave almost like 12" subs.
Best way is to listen to both. In my personal opinion, I liked the way 18" sub's produced bass. It was deep and powerful.
Whatever 18" sub can't produce, I have my 6x9 rear speakers to take over. This is why the phase shift switch is useful.
