I have two Orion Xtr series 2 12" subs and a Kenwood KAC-X621 2 channel amp. The subs are dual voice coil 4ohm and the amp has these stats: Maximum Output Power: 1200W Rated Output Power (14.4V) 150W x 2 at 20-20kHz 0.05%THD (4Ħ) 300W x 2 at 1kHz 0.5%THD (2Ħ) 600W x 1 at Bridged 1kHz 0.5%THD (4Ħ) Rated Output Power (12.0V) 100W x 2 at 20-20kHz 0.05%THD (4Ħ) 200W x 2 at 1kHz 0.5%THD (2Ħ) 400W x 1 at Bridged 1kHz 0.5%THD (4Ħ) Could you please help me with the best solution to run this equipment or should i purchase another 2 channel amp? no run them in series at 4ohms and push the 600 x1 @ 4ohms. 300 per sub should be fine for those. |

That diagram is for parallel wiring. Your amp will not handle less than 4ohms bridged. If your subs are 4ohms DVC, then wire each sub in parallel as in the diagram but instead of connecting all the negs and pos together, you take one of the pos and connect it to the neg on the 2nd sub. Now you have 4 ohms total. You should always ignore "max" power ratings. They're meaningless. According to your post, it looks like the amp will be putting out 200w rms to each sub @ 4ohms.
