Can I take my two 8 ohm subs and wire them parallel and bridge them to an amp to get 180W to each speaker?

Specs of Subs:
ohms: 8
RMS: 200w
Peak: 400w

Specs of Amp:
Continuous Power Rating
(measured at 13.8 volts)
Both channels driven into 4 ohm load: 90Wx2
Both channels driven into 2 ohm load: 180Wx2
MONO both channels driven into 4 ohm load: 360Wx1

Though I do not have this amp any more, it can serve as a guide for my new purchase. Thanks.

Xplod:
I am not looking to get them down to 2 ohm....I want them down to a 4 ohm load and hook them up to the amp MONO....check out the sub and Amp stats...

Hunter:
Why would they have to be DVC. Can't I take two 8 ohm speakers and wire then parallel making the load 4ohms then bridge it to the amp MONO? If not, please tell me why, I'm trying to understand.

And please look at the stats...And maybe the other post I made on this that no one replied to, found here...

YES YES YES

Two 8 ohm SVC subs wired in parallel will give you a 4 ohm load which can be powered by your amp if you bridge the channels to do put out 360W X 1 @ 4 ohms. This will divide 360W between 2 subs for 180W each.

www.the12volt.com has some nice calculators for this type of thing.
