Hey Everyone,

In terms of volume and SQL, how would the single 12" Type X and MRD-M1001 compare to three 12" Type Rs and the MRD-M1001? I am not very knowlegeable in car audio and I am not sure of the difference between using three 350W subs with a 1000W amp, or one 1000W sub with a 1000W amp.

I know a friend of mine had the three 12" Type Rs with the MRD-M1000 in his Chevy S10, and it POUNDED! Could be because of the small cabin space, but even if it was in my '99 Passat, I think it would have pounded in my car too.

Can someone please compare these setups? This is something that has confused me for some time . . .
