My car stereo had been working fine until recently when my system began distorting at mid-high volume. I have a GTO amp running my base speaker which I have no problem with, I also have a GTO 4000 amp running my mid-range speakers which have begun distorting even at mid volume. The panasonic head unit seems fine and there is no problem with the base. What is causing the distortion? All the speakers are ok and I have not ajusted the amp in anyway and both fuses are ok. |

I doubt it. They where fine up to a few weeks ago. The amp is running four mid range speakers and two small tweeters. The Panasonic head unit has a volume control numbered 1 to 40. Soon as I reach number 27 or higher the treble distorts terribly. The speakers are not damaged in any way. |
