i have a RF 500.2 Punch amp. everytime i brake my car or put my windows down the system kinda blurs for a sec. Also i listen to loud music alot but is it normal for my amp to shut down 40 minutes latter. Or is it heating up to fast? the amp is located behind the back seat.

punch amps are known too get very hot! (is this a 2004 model amp?...i dont know if they heat up like the 2002 models)

i have seen punch 300S (2002-2003)amps get too hot to touch in 10mins. you are prolly clipping your amp, that will cause it to heat up even more. try turning to gain down a little.

if you get noise in your system when you brake and roll down the windows....you could have a bad ground or you RCAs are run along side your power wire.

check your ground and make sure your RCAs are run on the opposite side of your car from the power wire.
