Hey everyone...im stuck between a rock and a hard place =T I have one MTx 9500 10in Dual 4ohm woofer...and i have narrowed it down to two amplifiers to power it...but am not sure which one to pick. PrecisionPower PCX-2200 2 Channel 500 Watts OR Hifonics Zeus ZX7500 2 Ch 1000 Watts any help and opinions would be greatly appreciated...THANKS in Advance.... |

you have a single sub with dual 4 ohm coils this means the sub will present a 2 or 8 ohm load to the amp. a bridged stereo amp is only stable down to 4 ohms most times. if you have a mono amp it'll be class D, which means less current draw for the same amount of power as mentioned above, and more importantly, it'll be at it's peak output and efficiency at the presented 2 ohm load from your sub.
