high current is just as teh name implies. the amp draws a large amount of current. generally with car amps, the term "high current" means the amp is stable to below 2 ohms. The term gained popularity in the 80s and early 90s with Orion's HCCA series amplifiers. HCCA stood for high current competition amplifier.

Glasswolf i have a question for u, how much important is the size of an enclosure? I mean, can i build a box with 3.2 cu.ft and tunin to 35Hz or build one with 2.5 cu.ft and tunin to 35Hz and it doesnt matter? Or is there a way to determine the exact net volume my sub needs? |

yes it matters. it'll affect the response curve of the speaker and it's power handling. the Thiele-Small specs of the sub are what determine it's ideal enclosure volumes.

the speaker maker's website should suggest recommended enclosure volumes

it does reccomend 3 different...one for saving space, one for normal listening and one for SPL but not for SPL competition coz the tuning frequency is 37 hz and the fs of the sub is 45.... |

use the volume for the SPL enclosure, and change port length to tune it for 65Hz. That should give good results for SPL events. It won't sound that great though.

What is the difference of running 2 ohm stereo or 2 ohm mono which is better and which way would be better to face my audiobahn flame q 12's with magnet inside box or magnet outside of box ??? |

inverting a sub makes no difference to the sound aside from altering the net volume of the enclosure since the magnet structure no longer displaces air inside the box. most amps are not 2 ohm stable when bridged. www.bcae1.com raed that site for more help.

if the amp is a mono block amp it is already bridged inside it doesn't matter where u put in the speaker wires to the amp if u know what i mean u could hook up both subs on the same positive and negative terminals of the amp and still get the same power lol hard to believe huh |
