Would it be possible to power a 250 watt sony amp on 20 amp line, or will i be buying a lot of fuses? The rest of the power in my car is being used up by other things that are actually necessary :-(

250w would demand 21 amps of current.

what are you trying to do?
wire teh amp's power into the fuse box?
run a line directly to the battery's positive terminal post with a 20A fuse in-line.
use 8AWG cable for the amplifier.
you can just use an amp wiring kit from www.knukonceptz.com for about $20-25 as well.
