Okay, i kno this question is a little redundant, but when I tried to do my own research i became confused. I have a feeling that i will need a better alternator. so how do i know what kind to get amp wise? How many volts would it put out? What if I get a much more powerful alternator then needed? would I need a capacitor? and where could I find them, who can install them, and how much? I kno a few websites already.

Like I said I dont kno wat all specs u need but heres a few to help. (sum items could change depending on the specs of the alternator)
1993 Mazda MX6 LS
Alpine 9830 18x4 RMS/ 50x4 peak
Kicker KX 400.1 200x1 @4 ohms/ 400x1 @4 ohms RMS
Allow some extra current for possible accent lighting.

If u need any other specs just say so and i will post them for u.

Do you have the amp already installed? If so then turn up the volume and look for dimming lights. If it does, then you will need an alternator upgrade. If however, it doesn't, then you're okay. A capacitor will help somewhat, but it will not replace a HO alternator.
There are a lot of posts on this topic.

no i have not installed the amp yet, but from past experience w/ other systems I have a feeling i might need an aftermarket alternator. I could be wrong so i will check when I get the system fully installed but would u kno how powerful of an alternator I would need if i did need one?

A typical stock alternator would produce around 65A. Your internal components will use up 45A+, so that won't leave you much.
If you wanted to be safe, 100A alternator should be good for your amp setup.
If however, you think you'll be upgrading in the future, 125-150A is recommended. You can never have too powerful alternator cause it will only produce extra power when needed.
