I am completely new at this and wondering if anyone can help me out. I bought 2 JL 12w6's. Now i need to buy an amp that will run them well. I dont really know what specifications to hold the amp acountable to. My budget for the amp is around 300-400 so i was thinking the p6001 or the 1001bd from rockford. Would those be sufficient enough to run them and how would i wire them up. Thanks!

If you're interested in RF amp, then try T8002. It is much better than P6001 series. That amp is 2ohms stable in stereo, so you should be able to wire the sub in parallel to itself for 2ohms and then attach them to the channels.

The Kicker KX 600.1 would probably work very well for u too.
