I have a Rockford f amp 800watts, Can I use it with my 12"Kicker Comp or is it 2 much for the 1 sub? I have a 3434 eclipse head unit with Ample speakers in the doors. At this time I running a 300 watt Hart amp which sounds great but I want more of a harder hitting punch.

I am not sure what your kicker is rated at, but I think it is to much power.

Josh the amp is a 2003 model 2 channel, I'd assume RMS is 400 watts Not sure? I just don't want
to blow my sub out of the box. the guy's that installed my system said it's to much if so i going to
wait untill spring and add another sub or go with another brand. My son turns 16 in Oct. so everything
i don't use i'll install in his ride.
Thanks for the reply and what would u suggest in subs to handle the fosgate?

Don

im guessing that the amp gives out 400w at 4ohm. and because its a 2 channelamp it isnt 2 ohm stable in bridged mode.

tht 12" comp is only 200w rms. so it probly will blow up a bit.

subs i can reccomend for tht amp are
12" kicker comp vr
12" diamond cm3
if you want something cheap you could get a 12" audiobahn sub.
