ok i have 2 15 inch alpine type r's 2 ohm running 500 rms power each. i have about 500 to spend on a amp i was wondering if JBL BP1200.1 1200-Watt Subwoofer Amplifier would work or is there something better i can get for my money but work better? thanks a lot

That's a pretty good amp. If you want to compare, try RF T10001bd/T15002. The first one is rated 1000W @ 1ohm, 1500W @2ohms bridged.

id go 4 the 1001bd. 1500w is a little too powerfull.

but i thought the 1001bd gave out 1000w rms @ 2 ohms tho isaac. and those subs cant be wired @ 2 ohms

get a kicker kx 1200.1. it gives out 1200w r.m.s @ 1 ohm

The T15002 is 500W rms x 2 @2ohms, 750@ x 2 @1ohm and 1500W rms x 1 @ 2ohms bridged. So basically it's like getting 2 of T10001bd amp.
You can attach each sub to a separate channel with T15002 amp.
