I have a 400 JBL amp and a 550 Scosche amp, 2x12" JL subs, 2x 6x9 pioneers for the rear and stock front speakers....
I had a crappy cd player to start out with, and i had the scosche hooked up at first, then i bought the JBL and hooked it up, and they both worked fine, but i wanted to get a new cd player.. so i bought one, and i went to hook up my JBL again and now it won't work, the protection light just comes on and stays solid red regardless of if i have rca's or any subs hooked up. but if i hook up the scosche it works fine... I don't understand what the problem is... how do i get the jbl to work? oh by the way, i've already checked all the wiring a few times, no crossed wires, the ground is fine, and the amp isn't blown...

After all the stuff i've done with it, i never thought to check the thickness of the ground wire, and that's exactly what it was, but now everytime i accelerate it goes back into protection, and then when i stop, it starts working again... screwed up...
