How should i connect a 2 channel amp to my mmats 12 inch 250 rms sub...amp is a 300watt max,,,170rms power acoustik gothic series...

is that power rating of the amp at 4ohms? also what impedence are the voice coil/coils of the sub?

@ 4 ohms the amp is 70x2....the one i gave u is the mono rms
thats all the stuff on the amp

ok what you need to find out is if that amp is stable at 2ohms mono not stereo. Cause 2ohms mono = 1ohm stereo.

ok 2ohms stereo so it is not stable at 2ohms mono I didnt think it would be. You can run it two different ways. 1)run it stereo one channel to each voice coil and you will get 2ohms stereo. or 2) run it series/parellel and yield a 8ohm load which wont give you enough power. If you havnt bought this amp yet I would look more for like a 300 watt RMS mono amp. Check into Alpine,JBL,Kicker,ect..... but if you already bought this amp then do what you can with it or maybe try to sell it. thats just my opinion. I dont think power acoustic is very good anyways.
but again thats my opinion!
