i have an existing setup of..

jbl bp600.1 (runs at 1ohm)
12" brahma (wired in parallel for 1ohm)

sony 444w
2 6x9s 300w

leaving the components.. my friend was getting rid of his kicker kx600.1 amplifier.

is it a good idea for me to dump my jbl600.1 and buy his kicker kx600.1 ?? i can sell my stuff on ebay not that it is a problem.. but will it make any difference to my system?

i know both are underrated.

if the sub is in a ported box I'd get the Kicker for it's subsonic filter.
otherwise, either one is a good amp. the Kicker puts out a bit more power in real terms, but not enough you'd feel a big change. maybe a dB gain at best since it takes twice the power to even gain +3dB.
