I was looking through various reviews on my amplifier (JBL BP1200.1) and came acrossed a post which said using Y adapters for your RCA input on the amp lowers distortion. By no means does this amp put out much distortion, but if it were to make it even cleaner then why not give it a try. My question is is that what is a y adapter, what does it do, and do you think what he is saying is truthful? Also, how would I connect everything up using them?

A Y adapter splits your rca wire to two chanels. So it give you 4 inputs to the amp from one set of rca wires. As for if it helps I have heard that with the JBL amps it does help.
