i'm planning on getting a kicker comp 12 dvc @ 4 ohms...any feed back on what you've heard about them would be great. Also, will a sealed box at 1.25 internal volume be a good match? Last...what amount of power will i need for this sub to work at it's peak?

i'm guessing your talking about the comp vr's..

I love em, everybody i know that owns, loves them.

RMS is 400.. under a hundred bucks for 12 inch Kicker quality sub is awesome...

atleast 200-300 watts would be nice, between 300-400 watts would be of marginal benefit but would be a + ..

newb, if you're talking about comp series subs, I haven't heard too much about them, but i think you're better off spending extra $40 and getting the comp vr's, which sound great...the guy next door has them in a bandpass box.

the comps are the entry level subs, below the CVRs.
for about the same price I believe you could get an RE sub (entry level model) as another alternative.
either is a good sub, but don't expect supreme performance from a $50 subwoofer.. they are low excursion, low power subs.
