okay my amp reads 200x2 rms @ 4 ohm, but im just going to run this amp bridged. but it tells you not to run it at 2ohm bridged, and my sub can only be run at 8 or 2 ohm, seeing that it is a 4ohm dvc sub. So if the rms of the amp is 400 at 4ohm what will it be about at 8ohm? |

~200 watts @ 8 ohms. idelaly, you'd want a dual 2 or dual 8 ohm coil sub, or a single coil 4 ohm sub, for a bridged amp. you can't run a bridged amp at lower than 4 ohms if the amp is stereo 2 ohm stable, because when bridged, the amp sees half of the actual load, due to the channel inversion that takes place when the channels are bridged.

yeah...but if its a 2 channel amp, the numbers he gave are screwed up. he said 200x2 @ 4 Ohms stereo... which would be approx 400x2 @ 2 ohms stereo... which would mean 800x1 @ 4 ohms bridged and 400x1 @ 8 ohms bridged... unless Im missing something...
