i have a sony explode xm1502sx and when it's conected the over curent light turns on when you turn on the power. the light stays on even when the amp is disconected from the sub and the inputs i have 2 10 rockford phosgate punch's
that i want to run on it. is the amp fried or is this a problem that can be fixed

Check the other connections first...
but most likely its fried.

i used a different amp an old mtx rt 2120 and it all plays fine their is a signal from the head unit and coming out of the amp

so does this mean the amp is toast? if so can you fix it or should i throw it out

when i tried to use the sony one agoin the power light doesn't even come on any more only the over current light is on

You can get it repaired...
Not something you should attempt
yourself.
If it costs too much to fix, toss it
