I'm going with an all Phoenix Gold Octane-R powered w/ infinity speakers system and I don't know which amp to use for my infinity perfect 12.1d sub. I'm looking at the Octane-R 8.0:1 amp right now, but I'm wondering if the 5.0:4 amp would be better to go with. Does anybody have any insight on mono channel amps to multi channel?

The sub's RMS is at 350 at 4ohms (150 per coil).
The RMS for the 8.0:1 is 300x1 at 4ohms.
The RMS for the 5.0:4 is 150x2 at 4ohms.
I don't know if mono amps are good for pushing a dual voice coil sub compared to a bridged 4 channel amp. Would a mono amp be defeating the purpouse of a dual voice coil or does it work the same? And does it make sense to bridge a 4 channel amp for a single sub? Any help would be great.
