I have a couple amps that have the paint scratched/rubbed off on several of the heat sinks. They are beautiful amps, custom chrome-plated JL slash series. They are in a show-off location, and I'd like to touch up the black that has been removed. Is it safe/kosher to use automotive High Temp Engine black spray paint on those heat sinks to repaint them? If not, please suggest an alternative plan. Thanks.

I'd go with a high gloss black enamel paint myself.
Appliance paint would do the trick.

hand paint them, too. Spraypaint is messy.

Thanks. Also, please see my x-over question in the eq/xover section. Nobody has touched it in days.
