I just got a Performance Teknique 1200W Amplifier and 2 1000W 12' Subs(Same brand) recently in my 1993 Jeep Wrangler. After the first day I got it, my battery died. The amp was set too high I guess and killed it. I don't really know anthing about systems, but I was wondering if anyone can help me get a good setting on the amp and head unit for best performance, without killing my battery.

I know I need to get a capacitor soon, but for now, I need a setting so my speakers still hit hard without wasting my battery. Right now my amps don't work because I took the fuse out so it won't kill my battery.
Also, would it be better for my subs to face outward towards the back, or facing up? I want the bass to hit hard so it can be felt outside my car. They are facing outards now, and the bass hits nice, but can't be felt outside.

If anyone can help me out, that would be great. If anyone needs more information on what I have, just ask me.

Thanks
