Hey, i was wondering what was better, a sealed or ported box for 2 10inch xenon phoenix gold subs ?? thanks dudes

well that pends on how you want them to sound? I had 2 12 kicker comp c12a in a ported box and it sounded ok but then I made an sealed box and they hit harder well I got some new subs and I would definiately go with sealed |

first, determine their EBP. This determines what your subs are best suited for. Efficiency Bandwidth Product (EBP) EBP = Fs / Qes 50 or less = best used in a sealed enclosure. 50 - 90 = flexible enclosure options. 90 or greater = best used in ported enclosure. If the subs are suited to either box type, then it's up to you and what sort of sound you're after. more on box types: http://www.jlaudio.com/tutorials/magic/index.html
